What determines qualification?

The relevant programme's evaluation framework determines qualification. Its eligibility rules establish who can be assessed; its criteria and evidence requirements provide the basis for the assessment. Selection follows that evaluation.

A commercial agreement cannot replace the evidence needed to qualify or alter an evaluation outcome. A company should identify the programme, category and edition when communicating its recognition.

What are paid engagements for?

WCRC offers paid engagements through partnership proposals. Each proposal defines the services, deliverables and commercial terms agreed between the parties. The proposal should be read for its scope, charges, applicable taxes, payment schedule and cancellation or refund provisions.

A recognition announcement does not establish which commercial services are included in a proposal. Ask WCRC to explain the relevant deliverable or condition before agreeing to an engagement.

Can a selected company decline a partnership?

Yes. A selected company receives and retains its recognition without purchasing a partnership. Event attendance and media services are not requirements for retaining recognition.

This distinction applies to the recognition outcome. If a company separately purchases a service, the terms of that commercial agreement govern what it receives through the partnership.

Does an award fee always mean an award is bought?

A fee's purpose and its relationship to selection need examination. For example, the Asia-Pacific Stevie Awards publish entry fees. The existence of a fee does not, by itself, establish how a programme selects its recipients. Readers should examine the evaluation rules and any compulsory winner conditions.

That example describes another programme's published entry policy. WCRC's paid engagements are partnership proposals, and the confirmed WCRC recognition policy is that qualified, selected companies retain recognition without any purchase.

How can someone check a WCRC outcome?

Start with the named programme, edition and category. Read the applicable framework and the evidence supporting the recognition. WCRC's research independence policy explains the separation between qualification and commercial participation.

For a question or correction, identify the specific record and evidence to be examined. This gives the research team a concrete issue to consider without exposing confidential submissions or making assumptions about other nominees.

What does submitting a nomination mean?

A submission asks WCRC to consider the nominee against the applicable framework. It does not guarantee qualification or selection, and it does not require purchasing a partnership. A nomination should identify the project, nominee, relevant achievements and supporting sources.
